Natacha Marro

It was hard to find any info on Natacha Marro except for her client list (David Bowie, Goldfrapp, etc.).
Daphne Guinness in Vogue Italia. Don't know the photographer or year :(I read something like there are only 10 or 20 pairs made of this particular pair of red glitter heel-less mary janes. It takes two weeks to make a pair and will set you back about 600 British pounds. Or approximately $937. Rad.Just strolling. Daphne Guinness: Thank you for giving me something interesting to look at!
As you can already tell, I spend my free time on the internets looking at endless pictures of whatever.

Noritaka Tatehana

Noritaka Tatehana is a 25 year old Japanese designer likened to the late Alexander McQueen.
I saw a fantastic pair of his shoes on my girlcrush/favorite fashion icon, Daphne Guinness.
Some of Tatehana's shoes are already on exhibition in Paris and one pair can cost up to $15,000.
I need these. That is all.

Meh!

Well. I'm really irritated. Yeah. But now, a silly little quiz to take my mind off of being made miffed so easily:

One. What is your middle name? If I told you, I would have to kill you.
Two. What are you passionate about? Reading, eating, old movies, listening to music.
Three. Would you rather? Would I rather what?
Four. Do you have any fears? Hypodermic needles/getting blood drawn. Underwater creatures.
Five. Silver or gold? Silver.
Six. Top three places to visit. Stockholm, Amsterdam, Belgium.

Eight. Where are you from? Another planet.
Nine. First career you wanted as a child. Combination children's book author and illustrator.
Ten. What’s your sign? Aquarius.
Eleven. Future names of your children. Lucien, Vincenzo, or Aleister (I plan on having a beautiful cat like a Devon Rex or hairless).
Twelve. Do you have any pets? Not at the moment :(
Thirteen. What are you listening to right now? In Praise of Bacchus by Type O Negative.
Fourteen. Do you believe in fate/destiny? Don't know.
Fifteen. What are your career goals? Whatever allows me to be creative, makes me happy, allows me to be financially independent and live comfortably. No cardboard boxes or 234723 roommates.
Sixteen. What is your favorite color? Tron blue. Or black.
Seventeen. What is your favorite flower? Black tulip.
Eighteen. What was the first concert/show you attended? Tina Turner haha!
Nineteen. Something you are working on right now. Self image.
Twenty. Have you ever had a near-death experience? No.
Twenty-one. Are you a procrastinator or do you get things done early? Neither. I just take forever to do something and work on 239472035 projects at once. It may seem like I am procrastinating, but then at the last minute, everything comes together.
Twenty-two. Left or right handed? I'm ambidextrous so it depends on what I'm doing. I prefer using a fork with my left hand while I eat. I can write with both hands.
Twenty-three. TV Shows you watch regularly. Any time I can catch The Munsters or The Addams Family, I'm in heaven.
Twenty-four. Where do you work? I will be working at an attorney's office.
Twenty-five. Halloween costume idea for this year? I always wanted to be either Morticia or the bride of Frankenstein.
Twenty-six. What is your relationship status? Single. I can't even get felt up by a TSA agent.
Twenty-seven. Last movie you just watched. Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Were-Rabbit, HA!
Twenty-eight. Your best friend’s name. I would rather protect their privacy.
Twenty-nine. A song that’s been stuck in your head. In Praise of Bacchus by Type O Negative. That's why I'm listening to it on repeat.
Thirty. A book you want to read/have recently read. I want to read The Master and Margarita. I am currently reading Homework for Grown-ups.

Tokyo Milk

While exploring downtown, I discovered an awesome little hole-in-the-wall boutique that sells Tokyo Milk brand. I'd never heard of it before but the packaging really attracted me -- I love pretty, gothic things! This is the Dark line, or Femme Fatale Parfums, that comes in scents (left to right) with names like: Everything & Nothing, Arsenic, Excess, Crushed, La Vie La Mort, Bittersweet, and Tainted Love. I love them already! La Vie La Mort was my favorite scent and at $36 for 2 oz., it's definitely in my budget.
This is the Roller Parfum de Cigarro and it comes in six scents: Truth, Wisdom, Yesterday, Tomorrow, Destiny, and Chance. The roller parfum is stored in the glass tube and is only $24 for 5.5 fluid oz. The Roller Parfum de Cigarro is most likely going to be my choice just for the fact that the cost is lower and comes with more scent. Hopefully one of them smells good on me because I'm such a sucker for gorgeous packaging. So pretty!
These are the Lip Elixirs in: Salted Caramel, Absinthe (it really smells like it!), Coco Noir, Cherry Bourbon, La Vie En Rose (smells kinda like Smith's Rosebud Salve, which happens to be my all time favorite), Smoked Salt, Clove Cigarette (soooo yummy), and Dead Sexy. These are only $7 for .70 oz. I would probably buy Absinthe and Clove Cigarette, perfect for the Autumn weather. Musky scents on lips sound kinda sexy in my book.
So! As I'm trying to cut back on spending, I'm going to use up an almost-empty solid perfume stick and at least one lip thingie. This is something I've been working on, using up at least one item in my make-up bag before buying another. Quality over quantity, people.
And here's the website for Tokyo Milk. Such cute stuff!

I Have Arrived

The move is complete! Since my room is so small, I've been sorting through things to get tidy. A lot of it I plan on selling for some extra cash since I don't need a bunch of unused stuff laying around. And good news on a job/regular paycheck: I just need to call on Monday to set up my work schedule and find out my pay rate -- I'll be a file clerk at an attorney's office.
Also, I'm having a fun time finding where everything is. About 5 minutes away is a great nightlife area complete with a variety of restaurants (Asian-themed bistro, Brazilian steakhouse, etc.) and interesting drink menus, I'm sure ;) Just need to get out and make some friends!
And since the year is winding down a little, feeling like I need a change and starting anew, I'm planning on a new dye job and hair trim. Not exactly sure when, but sometime before the end of the year and after I've pawned some belongings.
What has inspired the motivation? New surroundings, new beginnings. To be honest, I'm really upset about this move but I can make the best of it by diving in and doing things I've been putting off forever, like: learning to use my scanner/printer, doing a major cleaning job in my new room, getting through my reading list slowly but surely. Which reminds me, I need to get a library card (The Master and Margarita is next on my list).
